Matt’s ratings

Players are rated on a scale of 1-10 with 6 being used as an average to passable performance. TRIGGER WARNING! half marks will also be used if a player is between scores.

Jacob Chapman -7- A good early save when Town were creaking and again used the ball well from the back.

Matty Pearson -8- The Beast of Braithwaite continues to impress. Winning every ground duel and 75% in the air, Pearson is in fine form.

Tom Lees -8- MAN OF THE MATCH. Lees is starting to string some solid performances together at last and tonight was his finest of the season. 10 clearances and a 75% aerial duel success rate against a big target man shows how dominant The Knaresborough Nesta was.

Nigel Lonwijk -7- A few jittery moments in the early going but improved as he grew into the game. 5 clearances were key in a game where Wrexham attempted to bombard the box.

Ollie Turton -6.5- Solid enough down the right hand side.

Herbie Kane -6- Struggled for control in the first half, but looked better in the second installment after Duff changed the midfield shape.

David Kasumu -7- Busy again, got his foot in to intercept key attacks and took the sting out of defensive situations by winning free kicks.

Ben Wiles -6- Struggled for space on a condensed pitch in the first half and squandered one or two good sitations in the second, but worked hard and helped Town get forward.

Mickel Miller -6.5- Struggled to block crosses from his Wrexham counterpart Ryan Barnett who was able to deliver 12 balls into the box. However, made some vital defensive contributions including a key interception from a Scarr nod down in the 2nd half.

Callum Marshall -5- I’m a big fan, but things just didn’t go his way today.

Bojan Radulovic -6- Full of running, but would have liked to have been a bit tighter with some of his first touches but still caused issues for the Wrexham backline.

Danny Ward -7- This was the sharpest Wardy has looked for a while and he helped to swing the game Town’s way with some good running and hold up play. This allowed Town to gain some valuable territory in the 2nd half.

Brodie Spencer -6- Most of the play was down the other flank but Brodie did what he needed to.

Antony Evans-NA- Only on for 7 mins but tried to make things happen.

Rhys Healey -NA- Looked lively. Hopefully this is the start of an injury free run.
