Tired Town sleepwalk in first half as Burton nab a cheeky point.

Matt’s ratings

Players are rated on a scale of 1-10 with 6 being used as an average to passable performance. TRIGGER WARNING! half marks will also be used if a player is between scores.

Jacob Chapman -7- Caught out by a complete fluke for the Burton goal and did little wrong before a key save in the 2nd half.

Tom Lees -4.5- Strange day at the office.

Michal Helik -7- MAN OF THE MATCH - An odd performance to mark. Lost more aerial duels than he should have to a much smaller opponent but also popped up with the crucial equaliser.

Nigel Lonwijk -5.5- [insert Gattuso meme]. Made some clever passes and was important in the 2nd half but his lackadaisical first half contributed to Burton opening the scoring - albeit a bit of a fluke.

Brodie Spencer -5.5- Missed what looked like a sitter in the first half and was a little loose with his marking in that 45.

Herbie Kane -6.5- Struggled to get on the ball in hurtful areas in the first half but had a good 2nd.

David Kasumu -6.5- I maybe thought he was a little better than others did. Looked to be the only one driving with the ball in the first half and his passing accuracy of 85% was high for the amount of forward passes he attempted. Needed to show for the ball more and be positive so the Hodge sub was the correct one.

Ben Wiles -5- A frustrating afternoon, but one whereby the stats website’s tell you a different story. By my eyes Wiles seemed to over hit many set pieces and crosses when in good areas, but according to Fotmob he was our man of the match and created 10 chances. Maybe I need to book in at the opticians again, I don’t know.

Josh Koroma -5.5- Very lively and Town’s main outlet but either hung on to the ball too long or over hit the vast majority of creative opportunities.

Callum Marshall -6- Worked hard but looked lost alongside Ladapo. Much better once moved to the right in the formation shift to 4-3-3.

Danny Ward -NA- Connected well with a shot and went down like he’d been shot. Hopefully it’s not too serious of an injury for Ward who up to press has been the only Town striker capable of creating a link with a partner.

Freddie Ladapo -2- Sorry Freddie but this mark is the equivalent of getting your only mark on a school exam for correctly putting your name at the top of the answer sheet.

Ollie Turton -5.5- Brought on to help change the system, would have been tempted to take him back off for Pearson and move Spencer to RB as he didn’t offer as much as Lonwijk on the other side.

Bojan Radulovic -6.5- I was tempted to go with a higher score considering his hold up and link play were at times very good. This allowed Town to get a much higher foothold in the 2nd half, but he should have popped up with a goal when presented with a couple of opportunities.

Matty Pearson -NA- Came on to offer an aerial threat at set plays for Town to then take every set piece short and work it to the edge of the box.

Joe Hodge -NA- Great to see him back and knitting play together nicely.
