FPL GW13 Preview

Ready to go again? I hope so. As Gameweek 12 finishes under 12 hours ago, Gameweek 13 Preview is already here.

Now, for the last few weeks we’ve spoken about the Man City v Arsenal Blank in Gameweek 12, now we keep an eye on the World Cup, which will land in just 4 Gameweeks and will run between Gameweeks 16 and 17. What that means for now is that we have a 4 week mini season if you like. Any Transfers you make now should be good for the next 4 Gameweeks.

Everton, Crystal Palace and Man City have the best Defensive run over the next 4, with neither side facing a top 6 side. Everton and Palace Goalkeepers Pickford and Guaita are £4.5 and sit on 33 points if you are looking for a new shot stopper. Everton’s Tarkowski has played the most minutes of any Everton Defender and comes in at £4.4, but 0 Goals or Assists and only 2 Bonus Points and 2 Clean Sheets doesn’t make him a sexy option. Guehi of Crystal Palace has the same stats but 1 less Bonus Point. Uninspiring I know, but both are very nice Budget options if you want to move some funds around. From Man City, Cancelo (£7.3) is streets ahead of any other City Defender.

Midfield is where the exciting picks are. Remember those City and Arsenal Picks I kept saying to hold onto? They are the ones you want, with Foden (£8.4) and De Bruyne (£12.3) and Arsenal’s Saka (£7.9) and Martinelli (£6.7) the ones to target.

Up front, if you don’t own Haaland (£12.1) he is a must own, and with Kane’s (£11.5) form he would be essential if it weren’t for Haaland. Owning both is an option, but comes at the expense of not owning Salah (£12.8) or De Bruyne. West Ham’s Scamacca (£6.8) combines a good Fixture run with increasing minutes and good underlaying stats.

Southampton, Notts Forest and Brighton have the worst Fixtures up to the World Cup, so if you need someone to sell, I’d target players from these sides.

A word of caution; Jesus, Toney and Saliba are all 1 Yellow Card away from a 1 week Suspension, so I would think twice about Transferring them in.

Captaincy this week, Haaland at home to Brighton with the midweek rest is the standout. Salah away to Forest is hard to ignore. Jesus or Saka away to Southampton is a good Differential pick.
