FPL GW13 Preview

FPL would be boring if all the decisions and plans we make are easy and go as planned.

It’s a mixed bag; the one consistent is to Captain Mo Salah, everything else is the inconsistent, and this week is no different (GW13 - unlucky for some, afterall).

Last week I spoke about the current template team, with the 4-3-3 Formation, with Ben Chilwell being one of the top four defenders. Well guess what? Yep, injured, so now we have a decision to make. The extent of the injury isn’t yet know, I’d highly recommend checking on the Chelsea Press Conference later on today to see if there is a time scale on it.

The easy move is to Marcus Alonso, coming in cheaper than Chilwell (£5.6 to £6.0). Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.7) and Man City’s Joao Cancelo (£6.5) are both more expensive, as is fellow Chelsea wing back Reece James (£6.1). If you want to stay with Chelsea, Antonio Rudiger is affordable at £5.9.

The other injury minefield is the Man City midfield with Phil Foden (£8.3), Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8), Jack Grealish (£7.7) and Ferran Torres (£6.7) all flagged. However, this opens the door for Bernardo Silva (£7.2) and Ilkay Gundogan (£7.2) as being great options.

As for Captaincy, yes, Salah at home to Southampton is a standout. Spurs against Newcastle should be a good fixture, but it seems Conte’s magic hasn’t kicked in at Spurs just yet, so Son and Kane are massive differential options.

Deadline this week is Saturday 27th November, 11:00m.
