FPL GW 14 Preview

Wow, talk about a quick turnaround.

A rare midweek set of fixtures in FPL means we have until TUESDAY 18:00 to get our troops ready for GW14.

The less said about GW13 the better. Unlucky for some turned out to be unlucky for the majority.

The standout fixture by a country mile is Watford V Chelsea, with Watford being involved in 5+ goal games in 4 of the last 6. Chelsea have conceded more than 1 goal only once this season.

It is the Chelsea defenders we are still looking at, as Lukaku and Mount aren’t back to first team action yet, and Ziyech, Werner and Havertz haven’t yet proven themselves to be quality FPL assets.

With Chilwell being side lined for around 6 weeks, its Alonso and James who stand out, with Rudiger being the third option.

Elsewhere the fixtures seem pretty evenly balanced. Everton take on Liverpool in the Mersyside Derby, with the Toffees on a dreadful run of form, so Salah is a prime captaincy option, or perhaps a Chelsea defender for the adventures.

Burnley V Spurs was cancelled due to the snow (Sean Dyche standing in the snow in just a shirt with no coat or jacket is the most Sean Dyche thing I’ve ever seen), which means both sides will have a Double Gameweek a some point, so it may be worth considering having some of their assets. Kane and Son in particular.

Deadline this week is Tuesday 30th November, 18:00m.
