FPL GW12 Preview
The last International Break of the calendar year, WOOOH!
Time to get ready for the Festive period, which is always chaos, football included.
So let’s talk about Formation for a moment. The most popular Formation is a 3-4-3, which gives maximum attacking players, including all 3 Forward positions. However, the Template Team (the most favoured team among the top 10k), seem to be favouring a 4-3-3, utilising the defensive assets more.
It is easy to see why; with the Chelsea wing backs Reece James (£5.9) and former Town loanee Ben Chilwell (£6.0) the top two defenders for goals scored (4 and 3). Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.7) and Man City’s Joao Cancelo (£6.5) are the joint top assisters with 4. These four make up the most popular backline, with Cancelo (67), Alexander-Arnold (64) and James (63) being the top 3 total points scorers. Chilwell is the 11th top scoring defender with 45, but he missed the first 6 games of the season.
So if your team needs freshening up, consider a change in formation.
Looking at the next run of fixtures, its Spurs who really standout, with new man in charge Conte hoping to reignite a hot and cold Spurs side. Wing backs Reguilon (£5.0) and Emerson Royal (what a name, I mean come on) (£4.9) seem to be the best way into the defence as Conte likes his wing backs to press high. In midfield Son (£10.3) is by far the standout, and Harry Kane (£12.3) is the best Forward.
Spurs v Leeds looks like the standout fixture, so Son or Kane could be good Captaincy choices. That man Mo Salah (£13.0) is home to Arsenal, the in form team of late, but you never back against him. Lukaku is still out injured so Ronaldo (£12.4) away to an injury ravaged Watford side could be a good differential.
Deadline this week is Saturday 20th November, 11:00m.
