A tough watch and tough to mark, as Town do what’s needed to come away with 3 points.

Matt’s ratings

Players are rated on a scale of 1-10 with 6 being used as an average to passable performance. TRIGGER WARNING! half marks will also be used if a player is between scores.

Jacob Chapman -7- Made a good save to deny Galbraith and used the ball with his feet superbly in the 2nd half to break any press.

Tom Lees -6.5- Grew into the game after looking a little uncomfortable initially with the positional change to the right, in the end as solid and dependable as usual.

Michal Helik -7- Much better from the big man. Back in the goals, back winning duals and back to being steady away.

Nigel Lonwijk -7.5- MAN OF THE MATCH. Won the vast majority of his duals, stepped out with the ball well and was clever in his use of it.

Ollie Turton-6- Started with a great ball into Koroma and Radulovic but faded into a quiet showing.

Herbie Kane -7- When he’s in the game and pulling the strings, he’s superb. Starting to look like Town’s conductor of the orchestra. Lovely pass to Ladapo late on showed shades of the great Mooy.

David Kasumu -7.5- He continues to look the part in Town’s midfield. Unbeatable in ground duels, 100% tackling success and even slid some impressive passes through which isn’t usually his strong suit. Hopefully the limp at the end was temporary.

Ben Wiles -5- A really tough one to mark, his selfless running and positioning was absolutely on point, but his execution with the ball was completely off on every occasion. A really bad game with the ball but tireless off of it.

Mickel Miller -7- That injury is a real sickener. Miller was having a decent game until an innocuous incident looks set to rule him out for a spell of games we really needed him for - we’re cursed for luck on the injury front.

Josh Koroma -4- Oh boy. Still finding his sharpness after injury and was very threatening with his runs but similar to Wiles in that he didn’t have the execution. It’s time to come off of the pens though, that’s 3 poor ones in a row. Had the Bolton keeper gone the right way in September then we’d have been looking at 0/3 such as the saveable nature of it.

Bojan Radulovic -4- I feel like if Bojan had played the last half hour he’d have had a few goals but alas, his time on the pitch was once again unproductive, although not through lack of effort.

Josh Ruffels -6.5- Anyone who successfully performs a random Maradona spin gets an automatic .5 upgrade in their score.

Freddie Ladapo -4- Missed a very presentable chance by snatching at the ball and later managed to kick the ball into his own face. Not his finest 35 mins.

Jonathan Hogg -NA- The right sub at the right time. Town did their best to offer Orient a route back into the game and Hoggy added a layer of calmness when needed. Looked sharp.

Callum Marshall -NA- Hard work pays you back says Michael Duff. Marshall’s goal was both fortunate and owed to his hard work in the press.

Brodie Spencer -NA- Steady away.
