Matt’s ratings

Players are rated on a scale of 1-10 with 6 being used as an average to passable performance. TRIGGER WARNING! half marks will also be used if a player is between scores.

Lee Nicholls -6.5- Handled everything as you’d expect without needing to over exert himself.

Tom Lees -7- Caught out once by a diagonal ball (Town’s Achilles heel so far under Duff) but recovered with another solid performance.

Michal Helik -7- Great through ball to Wiles who could have scored but another solid outing by Town’s Polish wall.

Brodie Spencer -6- I feel a few people are being overly harsh on Brodie Spencer. For my money, he’s still playing in a position which doesn’t suit him and he’s having to work double hard on areas of weakness in his game. It feels like switching him and Lees could be kinder at some point.

Lasse Sorensen -8.5- MAN OF THE MATCH. An absolute monster this week down that right flank. 4 assist in 2 games.

Jonathan Hogg -6- We spoke about this on the Warm Up show, but this wasn’t the game for Hogg for me. Against a low block you need someone who can thread the ball through which isn’t Hoggy’s game. Instead his passes tended to be a touch slow or overhit as he tried to force play. Fine out of possession.

Antony Evans -6.5- Busy without lighting the blue touch paper.

Ben Wiles -7.5- 2 in 2 for the man who realises you gain strength when you grow your hair. Should have been 3 in 2 but that shouldn’t detract from another high energy performance.

Mickel Miller -8- Another impressive cameo from the Londoner. Starts high and presses the opposition deep. Need more end product still, but I think it’ll come.

Danny Ward -6- Missed a good chance fizzed onto his right foot, other than that it was an afternoon of toil against what at times was a back 6.

Josh Koroma -6- Scored with a great header from a fabulous ball from Sorensen but at times cut a frustrated figure as he was crowded out by the Stevenage defence.

Jaheim Headley -6- Not quite the vibrant performance we saw against Morecambe.

Herbie Kane -6.5- Should have started at 6 for my money but came on and picked some nice forward passes.

Callum Marshall -6- Great debut against Morecambe and put himself about here, too.

David Kasumu -NA- On for barely a quarter of an hour but needs to improve on today’s 50% and last week’s 57.1% passing accuracy.

Kian Harratt -NA- Always eager to put himself about but perhaps needs to be smarter in his link play.
