FPL GW28 Preview

A curious Gameweek ahead, with 6 teams Blanking and 12 sides Doubling the week after.

I’ve spent the last few weeks helping you navigate through this tricky period, but here is the state of play.

Leeds: Arsenal (A), Notts Forest (H)

Leicester: Crystal Palace (A), Aston Villa (H)

Man Utd: Newcastle (A), Brentford (H)

Newcastle: Man Utd (H), West Ham (A)

I want to caveat everything by saying this: Bench Boost in Gameweek 29, there will not be a better opportunity.

The only sensible plan this week is to target players who Double in 29. There is no point Transfering out any playing players this Gameweek, it makes more sense to Transfer out any non-playing players who either do not Double in 29 or have a hard Double.

Brighton Blank but have the best Double so I would hold onto their assets. Man City Blank then have Liverpool in 29 so anyone City assets could be sold, even Haaland potentially, although it would take a brave person to do so. Fulham Blank but then have Bournemouth. All things considered, it is a tricky Gameweek. I guess it comes down to how many players you are happy owning for 28 and how many you want Doubling in 29.

But who to target? Chilwell of Chelsea, Cash and Mings of Aston Villa in Defence, Billing of Bournemouth, Maddison of Leicester in Midfield, Watkins of Aston Villa and Havertz of Chelsea in Attack, who all play in 28 and have a good Double in 29.

As for Captaincy this week, Kane away to Southampton, Watkins home to Bournemouth and Saka home to Crystal Palace are all good options.
