FPL. What is it & How Does it Work?

The quick answer: Fantasy Football.

Now for the long answer…

FPL is Fantasy Premier League, the Official fantasy football game of, and by, the Premier League.

You have £100 million to select a 15-man squad consisting of 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards.

Each round of games, or ‘Gameweeks’, you select a team of 11 players, in any formation with a minimum of a goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and 1 forward.

Each player scores points based on specific actions in the real life games.

For example, a forward scoring a goal gains 4 points, a defender keeping a clean sheet gains you 4 points. A yellow card will score you -1.

Your team’s points add up over the course of the season. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins.

Simple as that.
