FPL GW36 Preview

This is it. The big one.

For the last few weeks I have been talking about preparing for when you will play your Chips and building your team towards that. For many, GW36 will be that week, with 12 teams Doubling, including Liverpool and Man City.

The full GW36 Double looks like this:

Arsenal: LEE (H), TOT (A)

Aston Villa: BUR (A), LIV (H)

Chelsea: WOL (H), LEE (A)

Everton: LEI (A), WAT (A)

Leeds: ARS (A), CHE (H)

Leicester: EVE (H), NOR (H)

Liverpool: TOT (H), AVL (A)

Man City: Newcastle (H), Wolves (A)

Norwich: WHU(H), LEI (A)

Spurs: LIV (A), ARS (H)

Watford: CRY (A), EVE (H)

Wolves: Chelsea (A), Man City (H)

Gameweek 37 is another week many have earmarked, as it is a Double, albeit smaller.

DGW37 looks like:

Aston Villa: CRY (H), BUR (H)

Burnley: TOT (A), AVL (A)

Crystal Palace: AVL (A), EVE (A)

Everton: BRE (H), CRY (H)

Leicester: WAT (A), CHE (A)

Only Man Utd Blank in GW37.

How many Hits should you be thinking of taking to get your assets in? Personally, -8 is my limit, but that is a personal preference. Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester have back to back Doubles in 36 and 37, so taking a Hit for these players makes more sense, but they hardly have standout assets. Cash and Coutinho for Villa, Pickford and Richarlison for Everton and Schmeichel for Leicester, who played in Europe on Thursday with a full strength side so rotation will be rife.

Captaincy is also a lottery. Liverpool and Man City both played full strength in midweek so rotation will be inevitable. The ever reliable Salah seems safest, but punts on Jesus or De Bruyne as they had reduced minutes. Elsewhere, Havertz or Mount from Chelsea or Saka from Arsenal may be good Differentials.
