FPL - Navigating GW's 29-30

With just 10 FPL Gameweeks to go, we are entering the final stretch.

The FPL merry-go-round continues, with more shenanigans to navigate our way through, as Gameweeks 29-30 dawns on the horizon.

There has been the announcement of a Double in GW29 as well as Postponements in GW30.

Double GW29 Fixtures:

Arsenal: Lei (h), Liv (h)

Brighton: Liv (h), Tot (h)

Everton: Wol (h), New (h)

Liverpool: Bha (a), Ars (a)

Newcastle: Che (a), Eve (a)

Spurs: Mun (a), Bha (a)

Liverpool are the standouts here, with Salah (£13.2) and Alexander-Arnold (£8.5) being the usual suspects. The Captaincy debate is easy. Salah. Don’t be a hero. Salah. Salah. Salah.

Mo Salah.

Also standing out is Newcastle, who continue their improvement under Eddie Howe, with Willock (£5.7) and Fraser (£5.3) impressing from midfield. Everton also have a nice Double, however, they are coming off the back of a 5-0 defeat to Spurs where they did not register a shot on target. They also have the third worst goal difference in the league. Anthony Gordon (£4.5) is holding a regular spot wide on the left of the attack, so is a great budget option if you are looking to get in on the Toffees assets.

There is also a raft of Postponed games in Gameweek 30 due to the F.A. Cup, with the following teams not playing:

Brighton

Burnley

Chelsea

Crystal Palace

Everton

Liverpool

Man City

Man Utd

Newcastle

Norwich

Southampton

Watford

I’m just going to make my comments on Gameweek 30 short and sweet. Free Hit if you have one left. There is no other way. There is no point in Wildcarding as it is just one Gameweek, the same goes for taking Hits to get your playing players up. Just Free Hit.

Fixtures ON in Gameweek 30 are:

Aston Villa v Arsenal

Wolves v Leeds

Leicester v Brentford

Spurs v West Ham

We’ll look at a Free Hit Watchlist next week.

Now, we still have a whole host of games to rearrange. The following is a list of how many games each team needs to have rearranged, which will have to be fulfilled from Gameweek 31 onwards.

Everton (4)

Burnley, Leicester (3)

Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace (2)

Aston Villa, Brighton, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton, Spurs, Watford (1)

Brentford, Leeds, West Ham, Wolves (0)

Now, I feel we need to look over the next few weeks and see what Chips we want to use and when.

Remember that the FPL season is 38 Gameweeks long, and we are at Gameweek 29 already, so if you have not used your Wildcard, Bench Boost, Triple Captain or two Free Hits you have 5 Chips to use in 10 Gameweeks, remembering you can only use one per week.

With that in mind, it makes a Free Hit or two before then all the more appealing.

What I would strongly advise, and what I am doing, is making a plan as to what Chips I will be using in what Gameweeks, and plotting out the appropriate Transfers now.

As mentioned, a Free Hit in GW30 looks sensible.

Remember: Have a plan, but be flexible. Use the player Watchlist. Check out the Press Conferences for player updates, especially your players and players on your Watchlist.

I will be posting weekly Gameweek updates as usual with all the latest news, but this is the main Blueprint article going forward. Keep an eye put for the posted updates.

All the best!

Deadline this week is Saturday 12th March, 11:00am.
