FPL GW3 Preview

For those of you thinking FPL is just the Salah £12.6 and Fernandes £12.1 show, you would have had a rude awakening as early as GW2 as both players blanked in their respective fixtures.

Two players we highlighted last week, West Ham’s Saïd Benrahma £6.2 and Michail Antonio £7.7, now stand as the top scoring players with 24 and 29 points respectively. They welcome neighbours Crystal Palace to the London Stadium, with the Captaincy armband a consideration for Antonio.

The returning Romelu Lukaku £11.5 opened his Chelsea account with a goal against Arsenal, but a poor run of fixtures in Liverpool (A), Aston Villa (H), Spurs (A) and Manchester City (H) lessens his appeal.

With Salah and Lukaku facing each other this week, neither stand out as Captaincy options. Fernandes holds a lot of appeal with a trip to Wolves, who have lost their opening two fixtures under new manager Bruno Lage.

Heung-Min Son £10.1 is a great Captaincy shout, as Spurs welcome Watford, after he registered 7 shots in the first 2 Gameweeks. His prospects should be boosted by the return of Harry Kane £12.3 after he played 72 minutes and scored two in midweek.
