FPL GW2 Preview

Read any FPL article and it will be rife with the names of Mo Salah £12.5 and Bruno Fernandes £12.1, and with good reason.

GW1 went off with a bang as Fernandes hit a hat-trick against Leeds, gaining 20 points, with Salah bagging a goal and 2 assists for 17 points. They came in as GW1’s top two points scorers.

The pair are also the prime captaincy options going into GW2 as Liverpool welcome Burnley on Saturday lunch time, while Manchester United travel to Southampton on Sunday.

Whether you own both or have gone BruNO or NO Salah, GW1 also gave us plenty of other talking points…

West Ham’s Saïd Benrahma £6.1 racked up a goal and an assist for 12 points, while team mate Michail Antonio £7.6 came away with 2 goals and an assist for 13 points. They host Leicester on Monday evening.

Manchester City assets should never be far from our consideration, but the dreaded ‘Pep Rotation’ is always the nemesis of FPL managers. They host Norwich on Saturday afternoon, where the likes of Riyad Mahrez £9.0 and £100 million man Jack Grealish £8.0 are tempting picks. Ilkay Gündogan £7.5 has been passed fit, but there is a doubt over Kevin De Bruyne £12.0. Phil Foden £8.0 remains sidelined.

A special mention to former Town loanee Trevoh Chalobah, listed as a £5.0 defender, who played 90 minutes for Chelsea against Crystal Palace, scoring, keeping a clean sheet and gaining 2 bonus points for a 14 point Gameweek after impressing Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel in Pre-Season.
